When we plan our vegetable showcase dinners, the design process begins with the ingredient, placing it on the highest pedestal. Our fourth annual cruciferous dinner will include some of our favorite fall vegetables: Arugula. Mustard Greens. Mustards. Kale. Kalettes. Cabbage. Bok Choy. Brussels Sprouts. Radishes. Turnips. Cauliflower.
We think about affinities of flavors and experiences in putting together combinations on the plate and dishes on the menu. Then the imagination kicks in, and we get busy in the kitchen. In 2020, we are opening our doors for a prepared dining experience to be finished in the comfort of your own kitchen, but explored first, at The Culinary Vegetable Institute.
Each meal is precooked, portioned, seasoned, and ready to heat and serve. Any garnish will be included, and everything is labeled with instructions. There will be plating directions and photos of the intended finished product. You will also receive a short, pre-recorded tutorial from Chef Jamie Simpson on how to put it all together!
We repeat, this is not just another takeout order. Join us from 12-6pm for complimentary wine tasting and fireside bites. Stock up on your fall farm favorites, bottles for the holiday season, and specialty items from our kitchen.
A member of the CVI staff will contact you to arrange an individual pick up time to allow for social distancing.
And before you head home, head on over to our Farmers Market at The Chef’s Garden to stock up on vegetables for the week! Located on the corner of Scheid and Huron-Avery Rd in Huron, OH. Hours are 9 am - 5 pm.
