The Chef's Garden™

The Chef's Garden is a small farm in Huron, Ohio owned by the Bob Jones family for over 20 years. They have worked to survive by defining a niche market partnering with outstanding chefs across America. TomatoesOver the past five decades, the Jones' farm has evolved from growing basic row crops to selecting varieties and heirlooms for thesuperior flavor. They gather seed from all over the world, working directly with chefs to produce vegetables and herbs unique to their specific needs with approximately 600 unique varieties.

Avoiding the use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers whenever possible, The Chef's Garden is an ardent proponent of sustainable agriculture. They work in concert with nature to provide pristine products while improving soil quality. All the while, the Jones family strives to provide a high quality of life for all their team members. The synergy between The Chef's Garden and the nation's finest chefs led the Joneses to create the Culinary Vegetable Institute: Various Vegetablesan educational culinary center surrounded by a working farm. This environment will enable chefs to retreat from their restaurant routines into a rustic setting to foster a closer relationship with the farmer and provide them with inspiration. All the while, the Institute will promote artisanal agriculture and a return to the soil.
